Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My post nasal drip feels like a running faucet. Severe coughing and spitting up mucus. My Dr. put me on an antibiotic when the mucus turned yellow. I m on two sprays a day, twice in each nostril. Today is my 5th day on antibiotics---mucus is clearer but the cough has not changed. Tonight I tried Nyquil just before bed. 2 1/2 hours later I woke up having a coughing spell to clear my throat. What is the best treatment to allow me to sleep? Obviously Nyquil is not.
